Peter Furnell - Senior Pastor

Peter is married to Marlene; they have two grown-up children. Peter had a long career as a graphic designer with the Health & Safety Executive before graduating from Mattersey Bible College in 2000. He's been involved with church leadership from around 1990, serving in full time ministry at Rother Valley Church since 2000. He aims to keep a servant heart and seeks to lead with wisdom. Peter has a good sense of humour, which he says helps immensely in church leadership.  

Dave and Wendy Wardley - Associate Pastors
Dave and Wendy have been married for over 30 years and have 2 grown up children and two grandchild, Dave has the heart of an evangelist with many responsibilities in the life of the church including leading the worship team and overseeing the teaching and cell groups. By day Dave is a manager for the NHS and his other major passion apart from God is Starbucks. Wendy is invaluable as she cares for people and brings her many gifts into the mix particuarlary with her teaching, prophetic and administration gifts. Wendy also works for the NHS as a Directors PA, she also cooks a mean chocolate marshmallow thing.

Alan Fenton-smith - Associate Pastor

Alan has been in ministry for more than 40 years and is a real spiritual father to the church with his many different gifts and abilities. Alan has many responsibilities including overseeing the Go Team (Missions) and co-ordinating prayer within the church. Alan is a secret Sheffield Wednesday fan and can be found wherever there is the smell of Jaffa cakes.

Chris Jeavons - Associate Pastor

Chris is married to Shan and has a little girl Grace Mae, he is responsible for children's and youth work in the church. Chris is employed full time for the church and his busy week includes running, youth groups and various activities in local schools where he is involved in mentoring, delivering lessons, lunch clubs and assemblies. He is also a member of the worship team and is brave enough to admit that he is a Rotherham United Fan. Chris is also studying theology part time at Mattersey Bible College.
